Uganda Classic Safari: A 15-Day Adventure

Embark on an extraordinary journey through the heart of Uganda, where the diverse landscapes unfold, and remarkable wildlife encounters await. This 15-day classic safari promises an immersive experience, unveiling the beauty of Uganda's national parks.


Day 1: ARRIVAL

Arrive in Uganda and be warmly welcomed by our representative from Blessing van explorers. Transfer to your hotel in Kampala and, depending on your arrival time, embark on a city tour to acquaint yourself with the capital. Explore historical sites, including the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, Uganda Museum, and the African Craft Village. Overnight at a preferred guest house.

Day 2: KAMPALA – MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Depart for Murchison Falls National Park, the most beautiful protected area in Uganda. Enjoy a morning stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a white rhino tracking experience. After lunch in Masindi, enter the park and visit the magnificent Murchison Falls, where the Nile is forced into a seven-meter crevice, thundering 45 meters below. Dinner and overnight at Red Chilli Rest Camp or Nile Breeze Bamboo Safari Lodge, with an upgrade option to Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Safari

Embark on a half-day game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, spotting diverse wildlife. After lunch, take a Nile cruise for up-close game viewing, witnessing hippos bathing, elephants drinking, and crocodiles lazing by the shores. Dinner and overnight at your chosen accommodation.

Day 4: MURCHISON FALLS – FORT PORTAL

Depart Murchison Falls for Fort Portal, an eight-hour drive offering stunning views of African villages and banana plantations. Fort Portal, nestled at the foot of the Mountains of the Moon, is famous for tea plantations. Dinner and overnight at the cottages of Primate Lodge Kibale or Silver Oak Hotel, with an upgrade option to deluxe safari tents.

Day 5: SEMILI NATIONAL PARK

Drive to Semliki National Park, with a ranger-guided nature walk through the Ituri Rainforest. Enjoy the tranquility, observe birdlife at the swamp, and boil an egg in the hot springs. Return to Kibale Forest for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: KIBALE NATIONAL PARK & BIGODI SWAMP

Embark on a chimp tracking adventure in Kibale Forest, renowned for its primate diversity. After lunch, explore the Bigodi Swamp for a nature walk, rich in birdlife and primates. Dinner and overnight at your chosen accommodation.


Day 7: KIBALE – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through Kasese. Enjoy a game drive on the way to your accommodation, spotting waterbucks, warthogs, and other wildlife. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, witnessing elephants, buffaloes, and hippos. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp or Dave da Cave Eco Lodge, with an upgrade option to Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 8: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Start the day early with a visit to the mating ground of Uganda kobs. Search for lions, elephants, and buffaloes in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, explore the Maramagambo Forest for a walk through the tropical forest, encountering diverse wildlife. Dinner and overnight at your chosen accommodation.

Day 9: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK – BWINDI

Optional morning activity: explore Kyambura Wildlife Reserve. Later, head to Bwindi, passing through a verdant countryside with traditional homesteads. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas or Rushaga Safari Lodge, with an upgrade option to Mahogany Springs.

Day 10: BWINDI GORILLA SAFARI


Experience the highlight of your safari: gorilla tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of Bwindi National Park. The hike may vary in duration, but the encounter with these gentle giants is unforgettable. Conservation guidelines limit time with the gorillas to one hour. Dinner and overnight at your chosen accommodation.

Day 11: BWINDI – LAKE BUNYONYI

After breakfast, consider a guided village walk for a closer interaction with the local community. Depart for Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest lake in Uganda, often referred to as the "Little Switzerland of Uganda." Relax or opt for a canoe trip while enjoying the sunset. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Camp or Paradise Eco Lodge, with an upgrade option to Birdnest Resort.

Day 12: LAKE BUNYONYI

Relax on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi after the challenging hike in Bwindi. Options include birding, nature walks, swimming, or canoeing. Dinner and overnight at your chosen accommodation.

Day 13: LAKE BUNYONYI – LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

Drive to Lake Mburo National Park, offering a nature walk guided by a ranger and a boat ride on the lake. Encounter wildlife, including impalas, topis, warthogs, zebras, and buffaloes. Dinner and overnight at Mburo Safari Lodge or Skyblue Motel, with an upgrade option to Mihingo Lodge.

Day 14: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK – KAMPALA

Embark on a nature walk and transfer to Kampala, stopping at the equator for photos or shopping. Arrival in Kampala in the late afternoon. Overnight at a preferred guest house.


Day 15: DEPARTURE

Bid farewell to the Pearl of Africa, enriched with a lifetime experience and unforgettable memories. Depending on your departure time, transfer to the airport for your journey back home.
