Chimpanzee Encounters: During the primate walk, you'll be enthralled by the opportunity to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat. These remarkable creatures have grown accustomed to human presence, with some individuals under observation for more than a quarter-century. Your chances of encountering them exceed 90%. Departures from Kanyanchu Visitor Centre are scheduled at 08:00, 11:00, and 14:00, with walks lasting from 2 to 5 hours. It's advisable to arrive early to complete registration and attend a briefing. Interaction with chimpanzees is limited to one hour, with groups restricted to six visitors, and participants must be 16 years or older. Securing advance bookings is essential for this popular activity.

Diverse Wildlife: Kibale's ecological richness extends beyond primates. The park provides shelter to over 120 mammal species, including diverse primate species such as baboons and chimpanzees, as well as the majestic elephants and graceful antelopes. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted by the park's avian diversity, with approximately 370 bird species, including 23 Albertine Rift endemics. Look out for special species like Nahan's francolin, Cassin's spinetail, blue-headed bee-eater, and the low-land masked apalis.
